Here she is… my new 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250R. After racing motocross for years back when I was a teenager, I finally decided to venture out onto the streets. I wanted something inexpensive and easy to learn on and the Ninja 250R seemed like the perfect bike. Here's what I liked about it… inexpensive, good aftermarket support, light weight, low seat height, and not enough power to get me in trouble, but enough to have some fun with. Sure I was tempted to get one of the 600cc sport bikes, but didn't really want to spend that kind of money, and didn't think I needed all that power. With the 250R, I figure, less is more.

After only about 20 miles of riding, I can already tell this bike is going to be a blast. Stay tuned…
