For this round of modifications on our Ducati Hypermotard 698 Project Bike, we’ve added some protective bits from Evotech Performance to our Hyper 698, including a radiator guard, front and rear axle sliders, and swingarm spools. The Evotech products are really nice and fit without any hassles, plus they look great on the bike.
The radiator guard (shown above) is a must on these bikes, since the bike comes stock with just a cheap plastic guard to protect that expensive radiator from road debris flying up off that front tire.
Front and Rear Axle sliders are also a must, to protect the swingarm, forks, axle nuts and so on. Finally, the Evotech swingarm spools thread directly into holes in the swingarm and allow you to lift the rear of the bike using a lift stand, and they also provide additional protection since they act as sliders as well.
We also installed a Ducati Performance Sump Guard to protect the bottom of the engine, and we’ve also ordered a frame slider kit from Woodcraft, which is currently on backorder.
