Tenere 700 Project Bike Walk-Around Video

For this second iteration of our Tenere 700 Project Bike, we’re going to call it “The 50/50 Street Dirt Build”. Many have categorized the Tenere 700 as a “Big Dual Sport Bike”, and some in the moto media call it “The New KLR650”. Of all the adventure bikes currently on the market, the Tenere 700 is probably one of the best choices for a 50/50 mix of street and off-road riding. Riders who want a bike like this will set it up so that it can handle mild off-road riding, but also be very comfortable eating up miles on the highway. Here’s how we’ve set up our Tenere 700 for this type of riding…

AUXILIARY LED LIGHTING:
We wanted front auxiliary LED lighting so our Tenere 700 stands out more in traffic, and also to provide better lighting if we ever get caught out on the road/trail after dark. We’ve used Denali lighting on a few other bikes, and it is super high quality stuff. We went with their small DM line of LED lights, and mounted them to the Denali Auxiliary Light Mount they make for the Tenere 700 that bolts up under the stock headlight. Now we’re much more visible on the road, and the super bright LED’s will also work great after dark. I definitely recommend getting the Denali Dual-Intensity Controller, which allows you to use your bike’s high/low beam switch to change the DM’s from half bright to full bright . If you don’t get that controller, then you control the lights from the on/off handlebar switch, so they are either off or full bright, and when they are full bright I think it’s a bit too much for on-coming traffic.
