Honda made a few changes to the exhaust system on the 2017+ Honda CRF250L (and CRF250L Rally), which meant FMF’s mufflers/headers for the 2013-2016 models would not fit the new bikes. FMF has finally come out with mufflers and headers for the new 2017+ bikes, but it seems to have created a bit of confusion, so we will try to simplify and explain everything here in this blog post.

FMF Q4 and PowerCore4 Mufflers:
For the 2017+ models, FMF decided to create 4 new muffler part numbers… 2 for the standard CRF250L and 2 for the CRF250L Rally. The Q4 and PowerCore4 mufflers for the standard CRF250L will come with a mounting bracket for the OEM white plastic piece that covers part of the muffler, and have a small threaded bung welded to the muffler to allow the bracket to be attached. The Q4 and PowerCore4 mufflers for the CRF250L Rally model will NOT include that bracket or welded bung since the Rally has integrated bodywork that covers part of the muffler and it bolts right back on.

FMF PowerBomb and MegaBomb Headers:
For the 2017+ models, FMF had to change their PowerBomb and Megabomb header pipes and add an O2 bung so that they would work on the new 2017 CRF250L and CRF250L Rally. These new PowerBomb and Megabomb headers will work on either a standard 2017+ CRF250L or 2017+ CRF250L Rally.
