We’ve been searching for a nice set of mirrors to replace the ugly stock mirrors on our DRZ400SM Project Bike for quite awhile now. After trying out several different mirrors, we were mostly disappointed due to either poor visibility or excessive vibration.
We ended up going with the bar-end style mirrors shown above. These mirrors will mount in the ends of any 7/8″ handlebar, but they can also be clamped on to any handlebar. To do that, you just remove the bar-end insert portion of the mirror, and use the clamp to attach it. You can play around with different mounting positions, but we ended up with what is shown in the photos above.
Visibility is great…you can see back directly under your arms, which provides an excellent view of the road behind you. Additionally, these mirrors do not vibrate like a lot of aftermarket mirrors do.
We’re now using these same mirrors on our Yamaha WR250X Project Bike as well as our Honda CRF250L Supermoto Conversion.
